General Boundaries of the Oakhurst: Fort Worth-North Subdivision Oakhurst: $100,000 – 300,000’s Oakhurst neighborhood is Fort Worth’s oldest neighborhood association. Oakhurst gets its name from an oak forest and the other hardwood trees lining the banks of the Trinity River to the west of the neighborhood. Most of the homes were built in the first three decades of the 1900’s, with small Tudors and bungalow styles. In the 1960’s, several homes were built on a ridge facing the city skyline.
